Appreciate your
library friends
The week of April 27-May 3 has been declared “Friends of the Library Week” in Edmonds by Mayor Gary Haakenson.
The Friends of Sno-Isle Libraries are groups of citizens who promote, encourage and enhance the work of their local libraries.
The Friends of the Edmonds Library, in existence since 1979, consists of volunteers who raise money and communicate the library’s services to the community. Since its inception, the Friends of the Edmonds Library has raised about $300,000 to supplement the library’s funding, current Friends president Peggy Pritchard Olson said after accepting the proclamation at the City Council meeting April 22.
