Tell us about your favorite carriers

The Enterprise Newspapers 2003 Carriers of the Year contest has begun, so nominate who you think deserves to be known as the best carrier for the Enterprise Newspapers.

To pick a carrier who delivers the Edmonds Enterprise, e-mail editor Bill Sheets at sheets@heraldnet.com or drop off or mail a statement about the carrier to the attention of Bill Sheets at 4303 198th St. SW Lynnwood, WA 98036. Be sure to include the carrier’s name and/or your own address. For more information call Bill Sheets directly at 425-673-6525. Please do not leave carrier nominations on a phone message.

The deadline for nominations is noon Tuesday, Feb. 24.

The winners of the contest from each of the four Enterprise editions will have an article written about them on the front page of the edition they deliver and be honored at a party sometime in March.

It’s ‘Reading in Edmonds’ Month

Edmonds Mayor Gary Haakenson has named February as Reading in Edmonds Month.

The Edmonds Book Shop is having a “Read In the Window” event Feb. 18-19. One student chair and one community member chair will be set up in the window for reading all day. Call 425-775-2789 to sign up for a 30-minute spot. Also, Edmonds Public Library at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 Good Night stories will be featured in a pajama party setting at the library.
