Restaurants
mark Sept. 11
In remembrance of September 11, 2001, during the entire month of September, six Edmonds restaurants have pledged to donate 10 percent of their food receipts to the Edmonds Food Bank.
The 5th Avenue Grillhouse, Provinces, Ciao Italia, Shell Creek, Las Brisas and Girasol have agreed to take part in the event.
There is no extra cost to the restaurant patrons. The only requirement is that the server is notified in advance of the diner having seen the ads run in several local publications or their awareness of the program.
At the conclusion of the month, each participating restaurant will report its total contribution to this very worthwhile charity and publications will be notified of the result.
Participating restaurants are asking Edmonds, South Snohomish County and North King County residents to get behind the effort and raise a meaningful sum to assist the Edmonds Food bank in their effort to help those in the community who have found themselves in less fortunate circumstances.
