Robert and Barbara Brown of Shoreline will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 29, 2003.
The couple met for the second time at a Rainbow dance in May 1951 when Bob was on leave from the Navy. They were married at Trinity Methodist Church in Ballard amidst colors of pink and light burgundy. Both have found great satisfaction working with the Order of Rainbow for Girls, a service organization for young women.
The Browns have four children and six grandchildren.
