Friday

South County Senior Center (220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds; 425-774-5555) offers the following events and activities:

• Senior Lunch — Noon Mondays-Fridays: Seniors 60 and over enjoy hot meals and community. Reservations recommended; reserve by noon Monday for that week’s desired date. Cost: $2 suggested donation.

• Coffee Bar — 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays: Hot tea or coffee, fresh baked cookies and pastries. Cost varies.

• Senior Employment Resource Center — 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays: Matches seniors with skills with seniors that could use those skills, including home maintenance/repairs, housework, caregiving, driving, handymen. Info: 425-774-5555.

Saturday

South County Senior Center Thrift Store — 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays: Antiques and bargains, plus senior handcrafted dish cloths/towels and baby shower items in the Country Boutique Shop (open Mondays-Thursdays).

Sunday

“Love Languages: Building Stronger Relationships,” 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sundays April 18 through May 23 at Faith Community Church, 10220 238th Street SW, Edmonds. The series of messages is based on the book, The Five Love Languages, by Dr. Gary Chapman. For more information, call 206-542-8883.

Monday

The Edmonds Arts Commission will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, May 3 in the Library Plaza Room, 650 Main St.

Westgate Chapel offers a free, monthly support group for Parents with Special Needs Children at 7 p.m. Monday, May 3. The church is located at 22901 Edmonds Way and specialized child care is offered to parents who register by calling Cindi Bowen at 425-775.2776.

Tuesday

The Fire District 1 Board of Commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. at 12310 Meridian Ave., Everett. Info: 425-551-1233.
