Call for artists: The Edmonds Mural Society is looking for painters and muralists to submit mural concepts for next summer. The Mural Society is planning to raise five new murals in the summer of 2011. The theme of next season’s murals, chosen by the Members of the Mural Society, is the natural beauty one of Hidden Treasures. Deadline: Dec. 1. Call for artists: The Lynnwood Arts Commission invites artists to exhibit artwork at the Lynnwood Senior Center. The newly remodeled Lynnwood Senior Center is frequented by over 30,000 people a year and offers artists a chance to show their work in this very active public space. Exhibits are 3-4 months in length. Artists may advertise pieces hanging in the gallery as for sale. No commission is charged for any sales made. The gallery is visited by an estimated 1,500 people monthly. Applications are considered as they are received. There is no deadline to apply. Call for artists: The City of Mill Creek’s Arts and Beautification Board is seeking artists to display their works inside City Hall and the Mill Creek library. The rotating art program seeks to present groups of visual works by resident artists of all cultures, techniques, and styles. There is no deadline to apply. Available to Mill Creek residents only. Works for the library must be large, 2-dimensial art. Proposals must include information on the artist and recent images of proposed works, along with any brochures or other printed material that may be appropriate. Call to Performing Artists: The Edmonds Arts Commission is looking for local bands to perform at our 2011 Concerts in the Park. Concerts are held on Sunday afternoons in July and August from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. in City Park, Third Avenue North and Pine Street. This is an outdoor venue with a covered pavilion for the performers. Applicants will be contacted ONLY if they are asked to be on the schedule.

Audition Notice: Auditions for “The Eight: Reindeer Monologues,” will be held 7 p.m., Nov. 4 and 4 p.m., Nov. 6 at the Driftwood Admin Office, 306 Main St., Edmonds. Parts available for 5 men (18+) and 3 women (18+). Prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue and bring a picture and resume. Audition Notice: King’s Players announces auditions for its production of “Hello Dolly!” 7-9 p.m., Nov. 12th; 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Nov. 13; 7-9 p.m., Nov. 19; and 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Nov. 20 at Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 19523 84th Ave. W, Edmonds. Chorus auditions are from 10-11 a.m., Nov. 20. For auditions, bring a 1-2 minute monologue and 16-32 measures of a song not from “Hello Dolly.” For chorus auditions be prepared to sing a few lines on your own plus a portion of a song (TBD) with others. Audition Notice: Red Curtain Foundation announces auditions for “Night Watch,” opening Jan. 28, and running weekends through Feb. 13, at the Historic Everett Theatre. Auditions are scheduled for 7-10 p.m., Nov. 15 and 7-8 p.m., Nov. 16, in 8 minute appointments, with callbacks from 8-10 p.m., Nov. 16. Auditions will be held at the Creative Commons, 3231 Broadway, Everett. Auditioners should prepare a 2-minute dramatic monologue and be prepared to list all conflicts between the audition date and Feb. 13.
