Canyon Creek Cabinet Company in Monroe was recently chosen for a 2008 Governor’s Award for Sustainable Practices. The award was based upon their comprehensive efforts to incorporate sustainable practices throughout their operations and years of commitment to the reduction of waste and toxic chemicals.
Canyon Creek was the first business to sign on to the Lean and Environmental pilot program with the Washington Department of Ecology and Washington Manufacturing Services to streamline processes and reduce waste. Canyon Creek also worked with the Pollution Prevention Resource Center to find and use the latest techniques and tools for training in finish spraying.
