EVERETT – Everett Station, Snohomish County’s premier transit center, marks its 10th year of operation in 2012 this month. Everyone is welcome to join Everett Transit in the celebration throughout the day Friday, Feb. 10, from 2:30 to 7 p.m. at the Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave.
The event features guest speakers, entertainment and an unveiling of Everett Station’s new logo. The celebration is open to all ages, and will include a complimentary concert performance by local band 20 Riverside, and an appearance by members of the Washington Stealth cheerleading squad, the Bombshells.
Everett Station has become a central connection point for commuters and travelers alike, offering up travel options that include Everett Transit, Community Transit, Sound Transit, Island Transit, Skagit Transit, Amtrak, Greyhound, Northwest Trailways and Sounder commuter trains. The station accommodates about 6,000 people per day.
The station is also home to a full service espresso bar (Americano Espresso) a career development and training center (WorkSource Washington) and has a variety of meeting rooms available for public rental.
