Boy grows, clips locks for charity
After two years of brushing and lots of strange looks, Curtis Isaacson, 11, of Mill Creek finally reached his goal of growing his hair out to 10 inches.
Curtis donated his hair to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term hair loss caused by any diagnosis. He heard about Locks of Love from his mother, a pediatric oncology nurse, as well as his cousin.
Curtis had his hair cut June 18 at Split Ends Salon in Mill Creek after two years without anything more than a trim.
