SNOHOMISH COUNTY – Snohomish Health District will offer back-to-school immunizations at its clinics in Everett and Lynnwood from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8, by appointment from 8 a.m. to noon. Walk-ins will be accepted from 1 p.m. to closing.
The clinics are closed on Labor Day (Sept. 4) and on weekends.
Required childhood vaccines are available, including a newly required vaccine for chickenpox, for children age 19 months and older entering childcare, children entering kindergarten and those entering sixth grade.
Hepatitis A vaccine is now recommended for children age 12 months and older.
A new combined vaccine for tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis, “Tdap” – is recommended for children ages 11 to 18 as a booster dose for the usual tetanus diphtheria vaccine offered at this age.
Meningococcal vaccine is currently in short supply nationwide, but is recommended for entering college freshmen.
A parent or legal guardian must accompany a child under age 18 to the clinic, and must bring a complete record of the child’s immunizations.
If you are unable to accompany your child, you need to fill out a Snohomish Health District authorization form to have another person bring your child to the clinic. The forms are available at both clinics, and the clinics will mail or fax forms on request.
Payment is requested on the day of service in cash or by check. The cost for most immunization services includes an office visit fee, plus an administration fee per vaccine.
Medical coupons are accepted, but private insurance is not. Snohomish Health District clinics do not accept credit or debit cards. Reduced fees are available based on household size and income.
To schedule an appointment or ask questions, call the main clinic in Everett at 425-339-5220 or the South County Clinic in Lynnwood at 425-775-3522.
