LYNNWOOD — Four men are under investigation for theft and possession of stolen property after police on May 31 searched what they’re describing as a suspected chop shop in the Lynnwood area.

The Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force served a search warrant on the property in the 19000 block of Damson Road. The multi-agency law enforcement team was joined by a Washington State Patrol SWAT team in serving the search warrant.

The search resulted in the recovery of stolen vehicles and other property, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

Four men, all in their 40s and from Lynnwood, were taken into custody.

Two were booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree theft and possession of stolen property.

Detectives from the sheriff’s office south precinct were able to identify property reported stolen in recent burglaries in the area, Ireton said.
