Mayor Terry Ryan has announced his intention to seek a fifth term on the Mill Creek City Council.

In a prepared statement, he cited three reasons for his decision.

*To keep personal safety and security as the highest priorities.

“We will not cut corners on Police and EMS service,” he said.

*Fiscal Responsibility. Ryan said strong financial planning will help keep taxes lower. “I will continue to use my business experience to help the city manage its resources responsibly,” the statement said.

*Maintenance of core services.

“Mill Creek is a unique and special place to live; I intend to keep it that way,” the statement said.

“I am proud of our accomplishments during my time on the Mill Creek City Council building the fire station, obtaining state grants for infrastructure and completing the Mill Creek Town Center,” the statement said.

Ryan is the senior member of the council, having served the city for 14 years. He is the only four-term Mayor in city history. Ryan also represents Mill Creek on several regional boards and committees.

Ryan, his wife Roberta and their family, have lived in Mill Creek for 18 years. He is actively involved in the community and his parish.
