City gets a solid council member with Peterson

  • Tuesday, January 27, 2009 6:06pm

Congratulations to the Edmonds City Council and to Strom Peterson for his selection to fill Council Position 2. Strom brings a strong business background combined with personal progressive beliefs as demonstrated by his endorsement from the Sierra Club, the Progressive Majority, the 21st and 32nd District Democrats and the Snohomish County Democrats. I was particularly impressed by councilmembers D. J. Wilson and Ron Wambolt, who stood fast in their selection. I was also pleased in councilmembers Peggy Pritchard Olson’s and Michael Plunkett’s willingness to change their mind to support Strom. I look forward to councilmembers Bernheim’s and Orvis’ recognition of the strengths and values Strom brings to the council. The real winner is the city of Edmonds, who has gained a solid new council member.
