City won’t offer anything different than county

The annexation of our mobile home park will be changed from single family/low density to single family/high density. That change was explained to me as high-density single-wall townhomes. The politicians crow about affordable housing, but that doesn’t trickle down to the bureaucrats who make the plans. It is apparent that the city of Lynnwood, in trying to become Bellevue North, has no place for seniors on fixed incomes within the city limits.

A couple of years ago, when Snohomish County went through a re-zoning process, I attended meetings and talked to several county planners and I was told that the single family/low density zoning for our community would remain the same and that was a 10-year plan.

The city of Lynnwood offers nothing that we don’t already receive from the county. This annexation attempt is nothing more than an attempt to transfer tax revenues from Snohomish County to the city of Lynnwood.
