Where’s Waldo? In Edmonds, somewhere

Waldo is taking over downtown Edmonds this July – but wait, where did he go? Celebrate Waldo’s 25th birthday with other explorers around the nation in a monthlong game of “Where’s Waldo?” culminating in a birthday party at 4 p.m. July 31 at The Edmonds Bookshop, 111 Fifth Ave. S.

Waldo is the creation of Martin Handford, whose entertaining drawings of crowd scenes swept the world in 1987. A small stand-up figure of Waldo will be hiding in 20 local shops and restaurants around Edmonds (savvy travelers know where to look first). Folks who find him in at least 16 locations are eligible for prize drawings. For more information, go to www.edmondsbookshop.com or call 425-775-2789.
