A new lane closure on 156th Street SE takes effect today.
One lane on that street at the intersection with Sunset Road will be closed during daytime hours until Nov. 14. Crews will be repairing a gas valve at that location.
In other road work affecting the Mill Creek area, a daytime lane closure still affects 161st Street SE, Sunset Road and 164th Street SE around a new subdivision.
A lane of traffic on Sunset Road and 161st is being closed to allow for frontage improvements, and a lane of 164th is being closed for sewer work. The closures are expected to be in effect until May 14.
