Commercial burglary suspect arrested

Here are selected reports from Shoreline and Lake Forest Park police:

Jan. 22

Theft. 17100 block Bothell Way NE. Money was stolen from the front counter of a restaurant.

Jan. 21

Burglary. 14900 block Aurora Ave. N. Police arrested a suspect in a commercial burglary at a ski and snowboard store. The stolen property was recovered.

Mail theft. 17300 block Ashworth Ave. Police responded to resident’s report of stolen mail, including a credit card that was used by an unknown suspect.

Larceny. 1300 block N 205th St. Items were stolen from a truck bed by an unknown suspect while the victim was shopping.

Larceny. 2700 block NE 158th St. A vehicle parked in an school parking lot was entered by an unknown person.

Citizen. 17400 block Ballinger Way NE. Police responded to an ongoing parking issue involving a resident who wanted to understand why he could not park his motor home on public right of way. The officer explained the city ordinance against such activity.

Motor recovery. 3300 block NE 160th St. A stolen vehicle was recovered.

Road rage. 17100 block Bothell Way NE. Two individuals were seen merging into the same lane, then stopped and started yelling and screaming at each other.

Jan. 20

Suspicious circumstances. 17500 block 15th Ave. NE. A woman told police she was assaulted while in the men’s bathroom at a tavern. Another individual and a bartender both gave different accounts.

Burglary. 16900 block 14th Ave. NW. A suspect entered a home through an unlocked rear door and ransacked the master bedroom taking all of the expensive jewelry, a safe, a laptop, and money estimating $80,000 in total value.

Vandalism. 15500 block Westminster. An employee noticed graffiti on the rear of their place of work and called police to make a report.

Larceny. 15500 block Westminster. Someone stole a bottle of wine from a grocery store.

Assault. 1200 block N 178th St. Police responded to a report of a possible assault between neighbors. One neighbor alleged that the other cornered her in a parking lot and punched her in the arm and calf after a verbal altercation.

Assault. 18000 block 15th Ave. NE. An individual told police about a fight they had with a roommate.

Theft. 20200 block Ballinger Way. A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot.

Jan. 19

Vandalism. 15500 block 12th Ave. NE. A suspect used black spray paint to write “Slut” in black on the passenger side of a vehicle.

Prowler. A suspect was seen prowling for unlocked cars in a grocery store parking lot.

Threats. 1600 block N. 199th St. A resident at a group home facility was seen making threatening motions with his hands.

Larceny. 15200 block Aurora Ave. N. A purse was stolen from a vehicle after a vehicle window was smashed.

Fraud. 2100 Greenwood Ave. Someone received a money transfer via a on-line job offer and did not send money back as instructed.

Burglary. 1800 block N 166th St. A resident returned home from work and surprised three males who were burglarizing his residence. A TV, money and electronics were taken. All drawers and closets in the house were searched, including kitchen and bath. Items were packed in a sleeping bag.

Larceny. 20200 block Ballinger Way NE. Someone broke a vehicle window and stole a purse while the owner was inside a gym.

Jan. 18

Controlled substance. 17000 block Aurora Ave. N. A person was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence.

Auto theft. 19800 block Greenwood Pl. Unknown suspect(s) stole a silver 2007 Toyota vehicle parked in a residential driveway between 3 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

Larceny. 300 block NW 189th St. Unknown suspects entered a vehicle with unlocked doors.

Prowler. 19500 block First Ave. NW. A victim’s vehicle parked in a residential driveway was entered and items from the glove box were strewn around but nothing was stolen.

Larceny. 15200 block 15th Ave. NE. A purse was taken from a church and later found in a garage with a few items stolen.

Larceny. 2000 block NW 191st St. A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle.
