Friday

Healing Through Movement and Dance class: 9 a.m. every Friday in auditorium B on the fourth floor of Stevens Hospital. This class is designed for women recovering from breast cancer and other chronic conditions. Cost: $60 for six weeks. For more information or to register, call 425-640-4066.

South County Senior Center (220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds; 425-774-5555) offers the following events and activities:

• Senior Lunch: Noon Mondays-Fridays: Seniors 60 and older enjoy hot meals and community. Reservations recommended; reserve by noon Monday for that week’s desired date. Cost: $2 suggested donation.

• Coffee Bar: 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays: Hot tea or coffee, freshly baked cookies and pastries. Cost varies.

• Senior Employment Resource Center: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays: Matches seniors with skills with seniors that could use those skills, including home maintenance/repairs, housework, care giving, driving, handymen. Info: 425-774-5555.

Saturday

Community Harvest Party — 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30: Westgate Chapel, 22901 Edmonds Way, hosts games, candy, prizes, a story room, face painting, balloons, inflatables crafts, plus food for purchase. Admission: $1 or three cans of food to benefit Westgate Chapel Food Bank. Info: 425-775-2776.

Annual Bazaar- 10 a.m. –3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30: Daughter’s of the British Empire host baked goods, crafts, collectibles, white elephant bangers and mash lunch at Masonic Hall, 515 Dayton, Edmonds. Info: 425-774-4041.

South County Senior Center Thrift Store: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays. Antiques and bargains, plus senior handcrafted dish cloths/towels and baby shower items in the Country Boutique Shop (open Mondays-Thursdays).

Sunday

Downtown Edmonds Trick-or-Treat — 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31: Downtown Edmonds streets closed to automobile traffic as local merchants hand out candy for trick-or-treaters, plus Oxy Gene, CT mascot and McGruff “the Safety Dog.” Info: 425-776-6711.

Trick or Treat Street Halloween Carnival — 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31: Bethel 5 of Jobs Daughters Int. hosts this event in conjunction with the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce Trick or Treat Street, featuring a haunted alley and carnival games at the Edmonds Masonic Center, 515 Dayton. Monday

City Hall art gallery: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Nov. 30 at Edmonds City Hall, Brackett room (121 5th Ave. N). See works from the Hekinan Collection, presented by the Edmonds Arts Commission.

Tuesday

Edmonds City Council meeting: 7 p.m. Tuesday in the City Council Chambers, Public Safety Complex, 250 Fifth Ave. N. Info: 425-775-2525. Edmonds City Council Community Outreach Meetings take place at 7 p.m. on the fifth Tuesday of the month.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly): 9-11 a.m. Tuesdays: Support group meets at Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 196th and 84th streets, Edmonds. Open to the public. Info: 425-776-0682 or 206-542-5524.

Debtors Anonymous: 7–8:30 p.m. every Tuesday: Debtors anonymous support group meets every week in the brick annex just west of the main church at Alderwood Manor Community Church, 3403 Alderwood Mall Blvd., Lynnwood. Info: 425-486-3459.

Day Hikes for Older, Active Adults: every other Tuesday, June-November. Join fellow nature lovers for light hikes that are less than five miles round trip with minimal elevation gain. Meet at Lynnwood Senior Center, 5800 198th St. SW, Lynnwood. Cost: small fee includes guide and transportation. Info and registration: 425-744-6464.

Wednesday

Stevens Hospital Bereavement Support: a meeting for bereavement support is available from 7-8:30 p.m. at the hospital, 21601 76th Ave. W. To register, call 425-640-4404.

Thursday

Little Bebops Play Group- 9 a.m.-12 noon every Thursday: Indoor play space for children 5 and younger at Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 19523 84th Ave. W, Edmonds. Cost: Free Info: 425-670-8984.
