• Senior Lunch: Noon Mondays-Fridays: Seniors 60 and older enjoy hot meals and community. Reservations recommended; reserve by noon Monday for that week’s desired date. Cost: $2 suggested donation.
• Coffee Bar: 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays: Hot tea or coffee, freshly baked cookies and pastries. Cost varies.
• Senior Employment Resource Center: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays: Matches seniors with skills with seniors that could use those skills, including home maintenance/repairs, housework, care giving, driving, handymen. Info: 425-774-5555.

Tulalip Casino trip for seniors: Edmonds seniors are invited to join the South County Senior Center on a trip north to the Tulalip Casino, scheduled to leave the center at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9. Cost: $5 for members, $8 for non-members. Sign up early – space is limited.

Day Hikes for Older, Active Adults: every other Tuesday, June-November. Join fellow nature lovers for light hikes that are less than five miles round trip with minimal elevation gain. Expired flare collection: Edmonds Flotilla 12 U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will collect expired flares and conduct free vessel safety checks on the following dates: Aug. 14, Sept. 11 and Oct. 9. The events will take place at the Port Launcher office at the southwest corner of Anthony’s restaurant at the Port of Edmonds.
