New residents meeting next week

The city of Mill Creek has scheduled a community meeting for newly annexed residents from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, in the Heatherwood Middle School cafeteria, 1419 Trillium Blvd. SE.

The meeting will be a review of city services. Mill Creek staff members will attend to provide information and answer questions. New residents can also purchase pet and business licenses for Mill Creek.

In addition to city staff, personnel from Fire District 7, which serves the city of Mill Creek, and other service providers will attend to provide information and answer questions.

The city of Mill Creek annexed 553 acres northeast of the old city limits on Dec. 1. It is the largest annexation in city history. The annexation area is generally bound on the north by 132nd Street SE., on the east by Seattle Hill Road, on the west by the existing city limits and on the south by the existing city limits and 144th Street SE.

New residents unable to attend the meeting, but needing information on city services or licensing, can visit City Hall at 15728 Main St. or call 425-745-1891.
