Santa, firefighters to visit Silver Firs
Santa Claus will join Snohomish County Fire District 1 volunteer firefighters to ride aboard the fire engine and hand out candy canes to neighbors of the Silver Firs fire station from 6-9 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 23.
This will be the first year firefighters have toured Silver Firs with Santa and they will not follow a set route or schedule – they try to visit as many neighbors as possible during their tour.

Inslee office
moves to Shoreline
U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee’s district office moved from Mountlake Terrace to Shoreline on Dec. 14 and opened for business the next day.
After nearly seven years in the Pacific Cascade Building, which is home to the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest supervisor’s office, Inslee’s main district office moved to Shoreline Center. Formerly Shoreline High School, the center now houses the Shoreline School District headquarters, a senior center and offices of elected officials.
The address for the new office is 18560 1st Ave. NE., Suite E-800, Shoreline, Wash., 98155-2150. Its phone number is 206-361-0233 or toll free 1-800-226-7144. An open house for the public will take place from 4-6 p.m. Jan. 12.
Child safety seat installations
Snohomish County Fire District 7 offers child safety seat installation. Installation times are by appointment because not all fire stations have a certified child safety seat technician on every shift.
Call 425-486-1217 for more information or to schedule a seat installation.
