Local firefighters host donations
Edmonds Firefighters Local 1828 are now collecting new toys and food and are accepting monetary donations to help local families during the holidays.
Each year, the group assists about 20 Edmonds families with holiday food and gifts. The biggest need, the group says, is monetary donations so it can purchase toys the children ask “Santa” for and to ensure individual families get what they need.
Toys, food and other new items may be dropped off at any Edmonds Fire Department station or Edmonds City Hall. Checks can be mailed to Edmonds Firefighters, L-1828, at 23009 88th Ave. W., Edmonds, WA, 98026.
For more information, call Doug Dahl at 425-754-3961.
