Christmas program

at Shoreline church

Shoreline Community Church will present its Christmas program at 5 p.m. Dec. 5, at the church, located at 125 NE 185th St., Shoreline. The program will be recorded and presented to the greater Seattle area Dec. 24-25 on various local stations.

During the program, an offering will be collected to benefit local U.S. troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan during the Christmas season. For more information, call 206-362-4790 or visit www.shorelinecc.com.

Thornton Creek Council meeting

The Thornton Creek Watershed Oversight Council’s next meeting is 7-9 p.m. Dec. 7, at Olympic View Elementary School, 504 NE 95th St., Seattle.

This group of community and local government representatives oversees the implementation of projects and programs in the watershed and provides a forum for public discussion of issues and polices related to Thornton Creek.
