Crabbing topic of
fish group meeting
Rich Childers of the state Department of Fish and Wildlife will discuss Puget Sound Dungeness crab fishing during a meeting of the Edmonds Laebugton Salmon Chapter of Trout Unlimited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, at the Deer Creek Hatchery, Pine Street and State Route 104 in Edmonds.
Members are asked to bring a friend to the meeting that will offer fishing reports, a raffle and refreshments.
Rummage sale helps Legion
The American Legion Auxiliary will hold its “Book, Bake and Bric-a-Brac Sale” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 16-18, at Sixth Avenue and Dayton Street in Edmonds.
Homemade baked goods, second-hand books and gently used household items will be sold. All proceeds will benefit the Auxiliary’s Girls’ State program, which offers a week-long citizenship training event for high-school girls. Attendees will elect one participant to attend Girls’ Nation in Washington, D.C.
Items needed
for garage sale
The Edmonds Fire Safety Foundation is seeking donations of clean items in good repair for its annual garage sale Friday and Saturday, July 21 and 22, at 520 Forsyth Lane in Edmonds.
Small furniture is welcome if it can be easily moved. Electronic equipment, clothing and large furniture cannot be accepted.
