Monopole to be installed at city hall

A T-Mobile monopole will be put up on the Mountlake Terrace Civic Center Campus this month, the city of Mountlake Terrace announced.

This is the monopole that was denied by the Board of Adjustment for installation across the street on the east side of 58th, interim city manager Jerry Osterman explained. A back-up understanding was that the city would help provide for a monopole elsewhere.

Installation of the monopole will be approached from the park side, the only feasible approach at this time, and any construction impacts repaired, Osterman said. The new pole will be painted green to blend in with the wooded background as much as possible.
