Parents, students and staff members got to break out the sticky notes and say what they liked or disliked about designs for a new Shorewood High School and a modernized Shorecrest High School, on Thursday, March 19.

Architects presented four designs for each school and took verbal and written comments from about 75 people who attended each meeting.

“They all have good elements,” said parent Sherry Hill, who has a daughter who graduated from Shorewood in 2004 and a son who will be a ninth-grader there next year. “I’d like to buffer student activities and athletics from the southeast corner from our thriving adult entertainment area (Sugar’s) over there.”

The next set of meetings will be held June 4.

The district has a Web site for both schools which includes copies of the designs. Go to http://www.shorelineschools.org/news/hs_design/.
