Dumas Road in Mill Creek is closed to all traffic between North Creek Drive and the Park and Ride facility at 132nd Street SE, possibly until July.

The road is closed so it can be widened. Additional work includes building concrete retaining walls up to 15 feet high, installing a large, underground storm water detention vault, extending a sewer and relocating a water line.

In the past week, the contractor began excavating for the retaining wall footings and new storm water detention vaults. New concrete curb was placed between the Bothell-Everett Highway and North Creek Drive on Feb. 10. The pre-cast concrete vault was scheduled to be installed Feb. 15 and 16, and some of the concrete wall footings was also expected to be poured during this past week.

The detour route around Dumas Road is via the Bothell-Everett Highway, 16th Avenue SE and 132nd Street SE.
