Congressman Rick Larsen will hold a campaign kick-off event at Lynndale Park Sunday.
The event is scheduled for 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Lynndale Park, 7326 Olympic View Drive, Lynnwood.
Redistricting has put Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and Brier into the 2nd Congressional District, along with coastal areas of Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties from Mukilteo to Bellingham and all of Island and San Juan counties.
Larsen is seeking a seventh two-year term in Congress. He faces five challengers in the Aug. 7 primary: Republicans Dan Matthews, Eli Olson and John C. W. Shoop, and independents Mike Lapointe and Glen S. Johnson. The top two vote-getters, regardless of party, advance to the Nov. 7 general election.
