Consider facts, not the smear campaign

How long are Kevin Grossman and his Progress Shoreline aka Pro Shoreline aka WakeUpShoreline claque going to continue the personal assault via frivolous lawsuit, biased letters, and virulent public comment against Shoreline council members they oppose politically?

Grossman lost his council seat to Maggie Fimia in the election four years ago, and his supporters failed to take over the city council at the last election. Ever since then they’ve been waging war on those who gained the majority. This new majority quite properly voted to remove then city manager Steve Burkett for lots of reasons, but Grossman and friends preferred the old unbalanced pro-developer, anti-environment projects they had supported.

Now we have a city manager who, unlike Burkett, understands that it’s the city council that sets policy, and these new policies are far more sensitive to the needs of all Shoreline residents than the previous ones. They include: economic development that encompasses environmental protection and healthy neighborhoods; putting public safety first; giving strong support to human services; and fiscal responsibility.

These ethically challenged, politically motivated complainers want to go back to the bad old days, but that’s not what they’re talking about because that won’t fly. Shoreline residents need to consider the facts and reject the trumped-up smears from these manipulators.
