To celebrate the theme “Building Community”, the Lynnwood Arts Commission and Lynnwood Public Facilities District invite the public to participate in a unique artwalk set from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23.

Paintings created by local community groups are currently on display on the construction fence surrounding the future Convention Center, located at the corner of 196th Street SW and 37th Avenue W. in Lynnwood. Participating groups include the Alderwood Boys and Girls Club, Calvary Fellowship, Center For Battered Women, Hilltop Elementary, Lynnwood Arts Commission, Lynnwood Fire Department, Lynnwood Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department, Lynnwood Senior Center, Lynnwood Young Life, Madsen family and friends, Pathways for Women-YWCA, PAWS, Snohomish County Tourism Bureau and South Snohomish County Family Support Center. Materials were donated by Dunn Lumber, Hampton Affiliates, Kelly Moore Paint, Parker Paint and Rodda Paint.

Representatives from the Arts Commission and Public Facilities District will welcome visitors at 6:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served. Parking is available at Alderwood Village, adjacent to Long’s Drugs. For more information call 425-744-6459.
