The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council’s Children’s Series 2004 kicks off with the Tears of Joy Puppet Theatre’s production, “Coyote Tales,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31 at the Shoreline Community College Campus Theatre.

“Coyote Tales,” adapted by Reg Bradley, include Bear, Eagle, Salmon, Raven and Woodpecker and are performed with masks and Bunraku puppets. So how did that rascal Coyote get his name? He wanted a better one, but falling asleep made his plans go awry. Suitable for ages 4 and up, “Coyote Tales” is a performance full of foolishness and wisdom that celebrates Native American cultures.

The Shoreline Community College Campus Theatre is located in Bldg. 1600, at 16101 Greenwood Ave. N., in Shoreline. All seats are $5. Tickets available at the door. For more information visit www.shorelinearts.net or call 206-417-4645.
