Daigneault wins titles

Shoreline Christian senior Sarah Daigneault won the school’s first track titles in years and possibly ever with first-place finishes in the girls 100 and 300-meter hurdles at the 2B track and field championships at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, May 30.

Daigneault won the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.38 seconds and the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.64 seconds.

Teammate Andrea DeKoekoek, also a senior, took home a sixth-place medal in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.27.

The Crusaders 1,600-meter girls relay team of Daigneault, DeKoekkoek, Meesha Hoskin and Laura Kredit placed second behind Mount Vernon Christian with a season-best time of 4:13.23.

Daigneault also medaled in the long jump, placing eighth with a lepa of 15 feet, 4.25 inches.

The girls team tied for seventh as a team with 32 points.

On the boys side, senior Kyle Rasor placed eighth in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4:41.23.
