Democrats to soon gather for precinct caucuses

Democrats across the state are scheduled to gather March 4 for preccinct caucuses, according to party officials. Precincts are geographic areas and caucuses are the “grassroots” of party politics.

At the caucuses, allocations and elections will take place for delegates and alternates to county-level party conventions and legislative district caucuses.

At the caucuses, participants will discuss the political issues of the day and pass resolutions indicating the meeting’s official position on those issues.

Anyone can attend a caucus. Registered voters in that precinct who sign a statement indicating they consider themselves Democrats may speak and vote.

Here’s a list of 32nd District Democrat precinct caucus locations. The list shows the location, address and the precincts scheduled to meet at that location. All meetings will start at 2 p.m.
