Driftwood mixes ‘Laundry and Bourbon’

The Driftwood Players welcome you to “happy hour” with the ladies of Maynard, Texas as Alternative stages presents James McLure’s “Laundry and Bourbon” April 17 and 18 at the Wade James Theatre in Edmonds.

On a porch in Maynard, Texas, three women mix laundry, bourbon and gossip, creating a hilarious blend of domesticity and dreams. It’s a hot summer in a small town, and discontentment turns into wildly funny chit-chat.

“Laundry and Bourbon” is directed by Sarah Stillion and features Randy Hale, Tara Jensen &Marianne Legg. Alternative Stages productions are special, limited engagements with dessert theatre performances.

Performances are 7 p.m. Sunday, April 17 and 8 p.m. Monday, April 18. All tickets are $10, and include a dessert buffet in the lobby following the performance.
