Drug texts found on stolen phone

The following are selected reports from the Edmonds police department’s police blotter:

June 20

Traffic. 1000 block of Edmonds Way. Person recognized as driving with license suspended driver was stopped and arrested for driving with license suspended and warrants.

June 19

Vehicle recovery. 21600 block of 76th Ave. W. Stolen vehicle located.

June 17

Theft. 7600 block of 212th St. SW. Reports that cellphone was stolen and then recovered at Edmonds-Woodway High School. After the phone was returned, the police found incoming and outgoing text messages that entailed possible drug use and sales.

June 15

Theft. 800 block of Bell St. Front license plate stolen from vehicle.

Court order violation. 22200 block of Highway 99. A traffic stop revealed the driver to have a no contact order with the passenger. The driver is arrested and booked at Snohomish County Jail.

Auto theft. 800 block of Driftwood Pl. SW. Vehicle stolen overnight from register owner’s driveway.

Theft. 700 block of Main St. Jewelry stolen from stand at Edmonds’ Arts Festival.

Malicious mischief. 400 block of Daley St. Unknown suspect(s) used a 2-inch by 6-inch stud to shatter the passenger window of a truck parked at 4th Ave. N and Daley St.

Accident. 600 block of Admiral Way. Vehicle Two was parked, unoccupied. Driver One was observed pulling out of a parking space by a witness. Vehicle One was struck by Vehicle Two. Driver then exited the vehicle, looked at the damage and the passenger then got into the driver’s seat. Vehicle One then drove away. Witness gave information and Driver One was contacted and arrested for hit and run.

June 14

Theft. 22600 block of Highway 99. Unidentified suspect drove off from a 76 Station without paying for gas.

Burglary. 22500 block of 76th Ave. W. Perimeter fence cut and access gained into secure grounds of public storage.

June 13

Weapon. 7900 block of 240th St. SW. Solicitor contacted and arrested on outstanding warrant. Subject had a concealed handgun on his person. Subject had a prior assault domestic violence conviction. He was booked for felony possession of a firearm.
