One road project in the city of Mill Creek is coming to an end while another one is about to begin.
The Main Street connection project is all but completed, according to a city memo. Street lights still need to be installed. Recent work on the project, which connects Mill Creek Boulevard with Town Center, was primarily landscaping.
The city’s next major road project is improvements to Dumas Road. The construction contract was executed on Nov. 15, and the preconstruction meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 24. Work will begin in early December, and the planned road closure will likely start in January, according to a city memo.
Construction work is also affecting roads in unincorporated Snohomish County surrounding Mill Creek.
One lane on 164th Street SE between 3rd Avenue SE and Cascadian Way is closed for shoulder work during daytime hours. The closure is expected to be in effect until Dec. 15.
Single lanes will be closed on Cascadian Way, 146th Street SW and Meridian Drive SE just west of the Mill Creek city limits.
Those lane closures are in effect during the daytime hours until Dec. 31 so crews can extend a gas main.
