The Edmonds Arts Commission presents a free concert in the park by The Eagle Creek Band from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 13 at Edmonds City Park, located at 3rd and Pine St.s in downtown Edmonds. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket for an afternoon of outdoor music and family entertainment.
The Eagle Creek Band plays a wide variety of country music along with a mixture of popular and classic rock ‘n roll from such artists as Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Bonnie Raitt, Hank Williams and Elvis Presley to name just a few. Since 1994 this local group has perforined throughout Western Washington at various festivals, fairs and private parties. Recent performances include the Seattle “Out to Lunch” concert series, the Evergreen State Fair, Everett Salty Sea Days and a reception for former Vice President Al Gore and Governor Gary Locke.
The Eagle Creek Band is comprised of Sandy Land on lead vocals and percussion, Sarah Jane Frank on vocals and percussion, Karl Tegland on lead guitar, Jim Varnell on bass guitar, Bill Rispoli on lead and rhythm guitar and John Masai on drums.
This year’s Summer Concerts in the Park series is sponsored by Acura of Lynnwood and Lynnwood Honda with assistance from the Washington State Arts Commission. Concerts are presented by the Edmonds Arts Commission on behalf of the Edmonds City Council and are accessible to persons with disabilities.
In the event of rain, the concert will be cancelled. The next Concert in the Park is July 20 and features the Celtic group, Golden Bough.
