Earling on growth board

EDMONDS — Dave Earling, of Edmonds, has been appointed by Gov. Chris Gregoire to the Central Puget Sound Growth Management Hearings Board. His term will run from Aug. 10 through June 30, 2012.

Earling is a senior fellow with the Cascadia Center at the Discovery Institute. He is a board member of the Washington Conservation Voters and Senior Services of Snohomish County. Earling is the first appointee from Snohomish County since the Growth Management Hearings Board’s inception in 1992.

The hearings board rules on disputes arising from county and city growth-planning policies by King, Pierce, Kitsap and Snohomish counties.
