The Edmonds Community College men’s basketball team will make its seventh straight appearance at the NWAACC championships this weekend.

As the Northern Region’s No. 2 seed, the Tritons (11-5 league, 19-7 overall) open the 16-team tournament against Centralia (10-6, 15-11) at 8 a.m. this morning at the Tri-Cities Coliseum.

The winner advances to face either Mount Hood or Columbia Basin in the quarterfinals at 2 p.m. on Saturday; the losers of the same two games play in a loser-out game at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Semifinal games are scheduled for 4 and 6 p.m. on Sunday and the men’s championship game is set for 8 p.m. on Monday.

Edmonds closed out the regular season by winning five of its last seven games and is ranked sixth in the final coaches poll of the season.
