The Edmonds Community College men’s basketball took seventh at last weekend’s NWAACC championships.
The Tritons lost to Walla Walla 70-61 in the fourth/seventh place game on Monday at the Tri-Cities Coliseum in Kennewick.
Tyler MacMullen scored 16 points and Travis Fridrich added 15 in the losing effort for Edmonds.
The Warriors were led by Robert Pankowski and Matt Kelley, who each had 16 points.
There were 15 lead changes and eight ties in the game. Walla Walla connected on 16 of 18 free throws, while Edmonds only made 6 of 15.
The Tritons opened the four-day tournament with a 76-70 win over Centralia. Edmonds then lost 73-71 to Mount Hood before rebounding with a 94-73 victory over Linn-Benton.
Lower Columbia defeated Mount Hood 73-68 in double overtime to win its first men’s basketball title since 1954.
