Edmonds Council: Petso always keeps things professional

  • Tuesday, July 13, 2010 8:03pm

I am very pleased with the appointment of my mother-in-law, Lora Petso, to the City Council. I have known Lora personally for over five years, and I have met few who embody both common sense and principle as well as she does.

Lora and I disagree on a number of city issues, but she has never been one to make disagreements personal. Lora is a smart, independent thinker who is one of the kindest souls you will ever meet and this is why she is a good choice for a council that is so polarized, divisive and spiteful.

Additionally, her experience as a small-business owner, attorney and water commissioner will do the city a lot of good. I look forward to a council member who will not vote based on any ideology or personal feud, but will vote based on what she believes is the right thing to do. Welcome back, Lora!
