Edmonds hosts new wine, food festival

“The Toast,” an inaugural international wine and local food festival, will run 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27 at Edmonds Conference Center, located at 201 Fourth Avenue in Edmonds.

The Toast features wines from around the world paired with local foods. In addition to sampling and savoring wines, industry experts will be on hand to discuss where wines come from and how foods pair with various vintages.

Admission is $65 for the main tasting hall and $95 for the main hall plus a special reserve room of rare and limited wine selections.

Proceeds benefit FareStart, a Seattle-based program that offers job training and placement in food the food service industry to homeless men and women.
