“A Grand Ol’ Flag” is the newest exhibit at the Edmonds Historical Museum, on display through Sept. 18.

The exhibit is a showcase of historic United States flags from the museum’s collection, which includes a 38-star flag from 1887; 45-, 46- and 48-star flags; posters describing the flag’s history; and a presidential timeline.

Patriotic memorabilia will be on sale in the gift shop, and children can visit an activity table.

Other exhibits on display are toy airplanes from the collection of W. Tom Miller of Edmonds celebrating the 100th anniversary of manned flight, and two permanent exhibits, “The Changing Face of Edmonds” and “Our Maritime Heritage.”

Edmonds Historical Museum hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The museum is located at 118 5th Ave. N. in Edmonds. Admission is a suggested donation of $2 for adults, $1 for students. For more information call 425-774-0900 or visit www.historicedmonds.org.
