The Edmonds School Board appointed Ann McMurray, a Brier resident, to represent District 2 on the school board at its meeting Feb. 15. She is filling the position vacated by Mimi Terwilliger, who resigned in December, until the term expires at the end of 2005.

McMurray has been a long-time volunteer for the district, serving on its Citizen Planning Committee since 1990, as well as participating in parent-teacher organizations, site councils and booster clubs. Her two children attended Cedar Way Elementary, Terrace Park K-8 and Mountlake Terrace High School.

“I look forward to working closely with the board and putting my 15 years of experience with the Edmonds School District to good use,” McMurray stated in a press release.
