Fair-minded Tracey best bet for city

  • Tuesday, September 29, 2009 8:32pm

I first met Shari Tracey when I was on the Shoreline PTA Council and she came to speak for the parks bond. I was impressed with her presentation: she was articulate, well prepared and presented solid information regarding the pros and cons and costs of the measure. She was also concise and gave the audience ways they could get more information and become involved.

I have had numerous conversations with her since and find her to be sincere, intelligent, considerate and fair-minded. Because of her experience as chief of staff to County Councilman Bob Ferguson, she understands the difference between staff and governance. She knows how to hire good people and trust them to do their jobs. Shari will be a city council member who will not micro-manage staff but will keep the lines of communication open.

I trust her to represent the best interests of Shoreline residents on the city council. Shari Tracey will be an ethical council member who listens to all sides and make up her own mind on all issues. She knows the importance of working with other organizations as well as individuals — as partners dedicated to making Shoreline the best city it can be. We need Shari Tracey on the Shoreline City Council.
