EDMONDS
Ericka Dillman calls hospitals and jails three times a day.
She is looking for her fiance. Christopher A. Miller, 47, has been missing for almost two weeks. Dillman wants to know he is OK.
Dillman last called Miller’s cell phone about 3:30 p.m. on March 28. He’d just gotten a temporary job driving a forklift in Renton. He told Dillman he was tired. He had to load two more trucks. He was going to get it done quickly and come home, Dillman said.
“That’s the last time I talked to him,” she said.
She calls his cell phone but her calls go directly to voice mail as if the phone’s battery isn’t charged.
The Edmonds couple has been together for 22 years. They have two sons together, ages 12 and 20.
Snohomish County sheriff’s detectives don’t have any evidence that Miller is the victim of a crime. They still want to hear from anyone who may know where Miller is or anyone who has talked to him in the last two weeks.
Miller is black, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 260 pounds. He drives a white Kia Sephia with the Washington license plate 491 VNY.
Dillman, 37, is worried Miller is hurt.
“Something’s not right,” she said. “If things are looking up for you, life is beginning to be on the right track, why would you up and leave? It doesn’t make sense.”
Miller has been jailed in the past and has struggled with a drug addiction, Dillman said. He has been clean and sober for almost three years, she said. The couple attends church in Mill Creek and has been looking forward to better days, Dillman said.
“I’m worried about him,” she said. “I wish there was something more I could do. Each day that goes by my faith dwindles a little, but I’m trying to stay strong.”
Anyone with information about Miller is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
