A 63-year-old woman died Tuesday, July 18 of injuries sustained in a head-on collision on 132nd Street SE.
The woman, who was not identified at press time, was driving a pickup truck eastbound on 132nd Street SE when she collided with a flat bed construction truck going westbound. The accident took place at 7:33 a.m. in the 900 block of 132nd Street SE.
The accident closed all lanes of 132nd Street for four hours Tuesday morning while police investigated the accident. The woman was taken by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she later died of her injuries. The other driver received minor injuries, police said.
Mill Creek and Lynnwood police are investigating the accident. As of press time, the investigation was still in its early stages and contributing factors were not yet determined.
