A single-family home burned down in the 4500 block of NE 204th Place in Lake Forest Park Nov. 19. There were no injuries.

The Northshore Fire Department received the call at 5:09 p.m. Nov. 19 and upon arrival, firefighters found the south half of a two-story, wood-framed single-family home engulfed in flames, fire reports state.

The blaze was upgraded to a second-alarm fire, which summoned mutual aid from Shoreline, Bothell, and Kirkland fire departments.

The engulfing flames spread quickly, threatening buildings surrounding the burning home. Some firefighters worked to protect those homes with hose lines while other firefighters battled the house blaze. The fire was under control in approximately 23 minutes.

Northshore firefighters were informed by a neighbor that no one was home at the time of the fire. This was confirmed when the occupant, who is the sole resident, was reached by phone.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Lake Forest Park Police Department.
