Crews responded to 38 calls, including 23 medical aid, five motor vehicle collisions, four fire alarms and one hazardous materials response.
At 4:42 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Evergreen Medical Center after responding to a two-car collision at State Route 525 and Alderwood Mall Parkway.
At 11:13 a.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 198th Pl. SW and 28th Ave. W. One patient was transported by medic unit to Stevens Hospital and two patients were treated at the scene.
At 11:31 a.m., two cars collided on southbound I-405 south of I-5. Firefighters took one patient to Overlake Medical Center.
At 12:09 p.m., firefighters responded to a collision in Mountlake Terrace at 220th St. SW and I-5. No one was injured.
At 6:45 p.m., a fire was reported at a house in the 15500 block of 45th Ave. W. The small fire in a pile of clothes was extinguished by a neighbor before firefighters arrived. Firefighters helped clear smoke from the house and evaluated one patient who was exposed to smoke.
At 11:28 p.m., firefighters responded to a fully involved trailer fire at a recreational vehicle lot in the 16100 block of Highway 99. No one was inside the trailer at the time of the fire. The fire destroyed the trailer and damaged a neighboring trailer, a bus that had been converted to living quarters and a car. The Red Cross is assisting the man who lived in the destroyed trailer and two people who lived in the neighboring trailer. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office determined the fire was most likely started by an unattended candle. The loss is estimated at more than $45,000.
June 4
Crews responded to 37 calls, including 32 medical aid, two fires, one service call, one motor vehicle collision and one fire alarm.
At 6:39 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 13000 block of 8th Ave. W. No one was injured.
June 3
Crews responded to 45 calls, including 33 medical aid, seven fires, three motor vehicle collisions and two service calls.
At 4:11 p.m., a house fire was reported in the 2000 block of 211th Pl. SW. Two men inside the house when the fire broke out escaped without injury. Firefighters kept the fire from spreading beyond the bedroom where it started. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office determined the fire was most likely started by a short in an electrical cord. The fire caused more than $75,000 damage.
A bicyclist was struck by a car in the 16000 block of 54th Pl. W. Firefighters responded at 4:26 p.m. and took the man to Harborview Medical Center.
June 2
Crews responded to 53 calls, including 35 medical aid, eight fires, four motor vehicle collisions, two fire alarms and four service calls.
At 8:13 a.m., no one was injured in a two-car collision that firefighters responded to at 164th St. SW and Manor Way.
At 11:13 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of sparking wires and discovered a damaged high-tension, high-voltage power line in danger of falling onto 164th St. SW. They asked Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies to assist in shutting down 164th St. SW between 13th Ave. W and Larch Way. The road was closed for about an hour before PUD employees arrived and cut power to the line.
At 12:18 p.m., firefighters responded to a kitchen fire in the 15400 block of 40th Ave. W. The grease fire was contained to the pan. A woman, who was exposed to smoke and heat while extinguishing the fire, was transported by ambulance to Stevens Hospital.
At 2:02 p.m., firefighters responded to a car fire 220th St. SW and 66th Ave. W in Mountlake Terrace.
At 7:56 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital after responding to a two-car collision in Mountlake Terrace at 220th St. SW and I-5.
