Snohomish County Fire District 7 responded to 89 calls the week of April 9-15. The district serves the neighborhoods of Cathcart, Clearview, Thrashers Corner, Maltby, Echo Lake, Gold Creek, The Falls, Turners Corner, North Creek and the City of Mill Creek.
April 15
Fire District 7 crews responded to 19 calls including seven medical aid, three service calls, two fires, two automatic fire alarms, two mutual aid, one motor vehicle collision, one illegal burn and one downed power line.
At 10:30 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to the 6300 block of 228th St. S.E. for a fire involving a motorhome. Firefighters arrived to find a motorhome, a truck and several motorcycles fully involved and the roof of a barn on fire. Firefighters protected other nearby exposures and extinguished the fire. Damages are estimated at $107,000.
April 14
Fire District 7 crews responded to 11 calls including eight medical aid, one motor vehicle collision, one automatic fire alarm and one service call.
April 13
Fire District 7 crews responded to 13 calls including 10 medical aid, one motor vehicle collision, one automatic fire alarm and one service call.
April 12
Fire District 7 crews responded to 12 calls including nine medical aid, one fire, one motor vehicle collision and one automatic fire alarm.
Firefighters responded to the intersection of Dumas Road and Bothell-Everett Hwy. at 12:15 p.m. for a motor vehicle collision involving a bus. Firefighters treated and transported two patients to Providence Everett Medical Center’s Pacific Campus. No one on the bus was injured.
April 11
Fire District 7 crews responded to 10 calls including eight medical aid, one automatic fire alarm and one mutual aid.
April 10
Fire District 7 crews responded to 13 calls including eight medical aid, two mutual aid, one fire, one illegal burn and one service call.
At 11:49 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to the 2500 block of 172nd Pl. S.E. for a residential fire. Firefighters found a fire burning in the wall near a fireplace and quickly extinguished the fire. Damages were estimated at $20,000. Firefighters recommend having your chimney professionally cleaned and inspected at least once a year.
